Powerpoint Problems?
If you are trying to view the Review Presentation which is in PowerPoint format and you do not have MS Power Point, you can go to OpenOffice.org and download the latest (stable, i.e. not beta) version and install it. This will allow you to view the Power Point presentation.

However, OpenOffice has some limitations in this department, it is not able to do all the animations, so if you view the presentation as a slideshow, some pages will be blank. To view these pages, just get out of slide show presentation and scroll down and read the individual pages.

Finding and Using the E-Book

Some of you have told me there are problems logging in to the E-text.  For some reason, your login page takes you to a companion area which has some useful information, but no text book.  You may recieve the correct link in the e-mail you receive upon registration.  However the link is now found on this web page to make life easier.  At the bottom of the SL Chem menu, there is an E Text log in link.  Once you have registered (via the link before it), you may use this link at any time to access the entire text book.  It does not have page numbers, but it is arranged by chapters and your exercises are at the end of each chapter.  Choose Content on the tool bar.  It is pretty self-explanatory from there.  Let me know if you have problems either with registration or finding the complete text.

There are no page numbers in the E-text.  You must access your questions by the chapter(s) specified with each week.  The page numbers listed are from the printed text.  When more than one chapter's questions are used in a set of exercises, a major change in page number will let you know you need to change chapters.  For instance, in week 1, pg 32 is in chapter 1 but pg 71 is in chapter 2.  The same thing occurs in week 6.  Page 255 is in chapter 6 and pg 336 is in chapter 8.   In week 8 the selection from pg 293 is from chapter 7.  The selections from pages 890 and 160 are from chapters 20 and 4 respectively.
